Brief
The London App Brewery is an education company based in London and we teach people how to code and make apps. It was started by our two founders Philipp Muellauer and Angela Yu, who are Android and iOS developers respectively. We work with individuals during our in-person classes to teach them app programming, design and marketing skills so that they can make their first prototype app and go on to succeed in starting a mobile based company. We also work with large corporations and organisations such as the NHS, MumsPlusBusiness and business schools to deliver our course to their staff and students. Since our initial conception, we’ve trained over 4000 students and people from 118 countries, including employees from Google, Linkedin and Facebook. Our dream is to make coding understandable for all and inspire a generation of technologists.
Philipp is a former hedge fund research analyst, portfolio manager, and CFA charter holder. After discovering his true passion lies with programming 7 years ago, Philipp started his own company, the London App Brewery and now teaches app development for those with no programming experience.
Angela is a UK trained medical doctor who has worked in the NHS for a number of years. Through her desire to improve the NHS through technology, she taught herself programming and has since been involved in a number of large projects that aim to improve the efficiency of the NHS. She now works as a full-stack iOS developer and teaches at the London App Brewery.
